Engine Short Ram intake systems are an economical alternative to a Cold Air system and deliver performance, value and ease of installation over any other short inlet intake. Short Ram intakes install easily under the hood and cost less than a complete cold air intake system

The Engine Ram Air Intake does not require any major disassembly of the front of the car, and typically installs in under an hour. The major difference between the ram air intake and the cold air intake is that the ram air kit installs completely under the hood and still draws in hotter air from the engine compartment.

To solve this problem, you can just add on cold air intake hose where the inlet air is at or close to ambient temperature or cover the air filter with heat shield.
